The Micro 20 makes twenty 3/4" soil blocks per press — designed for fine seeds: lettuce, basil, tomato, parsley, celery, and small-seeded flowers. New to soil blocking or growing squash, beans, or cucumbers? The Mini 4 is the better starting point.
Manufactured in England since the 1960s. Premium black EP-coated steel resists corrosion, moisture, and soil chemicals. Built to last a lifetime of seed starting seasons.
Part of the Ladbrooke nesting system — Micro 20 blocks nest directly into Mini 4 blocks with zero repotting and zero root disturbance. One continuous system from germination to transplant.
Twenty blocks per press makes the Micro 20 the high-volume choice for greenhouse growers and gardeners starting large quantities of fine-seeded crops. Conserves tray space under grow lights or in limited indoor space.
Soil blocks eliminate plastic pots entirely. No pots to buy, clean, store or throw away. Roots air-prune naturally at the block edges — no circling, no crowding, virtually no transplant shock.as the air between the soil blocks air-prunes the roots.
Requires a fine soil blocking mix — no rocks, twigs, or chunky material. The 3/4" cavities are small by design. A properly mixed, moist blocking mix is the key to clean, consistent blocks.
