Bokashi Compost Bin + 2 Lb Bokashi Bran, Kitchen Countertop Composter - color: Olive

About this item

• CREATE NUTRIENT-RICH COMPOST IN LESS THAN HALF THE TIME. Leveraging Consortium Microbes, the Bokashi composting process allows you to create nutrient-rich compost in 1-2 months versus the standard 3-6 months that traditional composting requires.
• ALL-SEASON COMPOSTING SOLUTION. Regardless of sub-zero weather temperatures or triple-digit heat waves, your indoor composter remains unaffected within the comfort of your home, allowing you to reduce your organic waste footprint and continue creating rich compost all year long.
• EASILY EXTRACT COMPOST LIQUID FOR REUSE. You can extract the nutrient-rich compost liquid (also called Bokashi Tea”) with our convenient built-in tap. This nutritious liquid can be diluted with water and used to fertilize your indoor or outdoor plants.
• ODOR-FREE INDOOR COMPOSTING. Our kitchen compost bin features an airtight lid, creating an anaerobic environment that prevents organic waste from rotting and attracting flies or other unwanted critters. Sprinkle the included EM Bokashi Bran over every new layer of food waste to speed up the fermentation process and further prevent unpleasant odors.
• WHAT ORGANIC WASTE CAN BE COMPOSTED? Almost all organic waste can be put into the Bokashi Organko 2, including fruits, vegetables, cooked/raw meats, fish, yogurt, bread, smaller bones, coffee grounds, eggs, and wilted flowers. Larger bones, ashes, animal excrements, paper, and liquids are not suitable for composting. We recommend cutting larger pieces into smaller ones to optimize the fermentation process.
